Sports Physical Therapy in Edmond, OK

Comebacks Are Built, Not Wished For

Sports injuries don't have to end your season. At The Movement Lab, every session is one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides, no hand-offs, no guesswork. We find the root cause and build a plan to get you back to competing.

Tired of Sports Injuries That Keep Coming Back No Matter What You Try?

Symptom Chasing, Not Root-Cause Care

You get treated for whatever hurts that week — without anyone looking at why it keeps happening. The pain fades, then flares again the next time you push.

Rushed Sessions With No Real Attention

Ten minutes with a therapist, the rest with an aide running you through a printout. You leave feeling like a number on the schedule, not an athlete with a goal.

Cleared for Play, Not Actually Ready

Traditional PT often stops at "pain-free." But pain-free isn't the same as ready to cut, sprint, or compete at full speed again.

Common Conditions We Treat

Sports Injuries We Help Athletes Push Through

Whether it's a nagging overuse injury or a setback that's kept you off the field, our DPTs have worked with it — and helped athletes train through it. We combine manual therapy, dry needling, targeted strength work, and return-to-sport programming to get you back to competing.

Shoulder & Rotator Cuff Pain — hands-on care and progressive loading to restore pain-free overhead motion for throwing and racquet athletes

Knee Injuries, Including ACL and Meniscus — return-to-sport testing and progressive strength programming to guide a safe, confident return to cutting and jumping sports

Ankle Sprains & Instability — manual therapy and balance retraining so your ankle holds up under game speed, not just walking speed

What Athletes Are Saying

From weekend warriors to competitive athletes, here's what people say about training and recovering at The Movement Lab.

Aaron has been super helpful in giving me ways strengthen my problem area. I'm confident I know what to do if/when it gives me trouble in the future.
Tristin Pitts
Aaron is hands-down the best in the game. I’m grinding working 40 hours a week doing hard labor, and still clocking 40 miles weekly. His recovery treatment has been a game-changer. No injuries, no setbacks—just smooth, strong miles. Last week, I closed out the final 3 miles of an 11 mile long run at a 5:15 pace, feeling solid. If you're serious about getting to that elite level, get to The Movement Lab. Aaron’s the real deal.

Aaron exceeded my expectations, his assessments exposed my weak points and his approach of loosening the muscle then strengthening them was exactly what I needed. Would highly recommend

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

Do I need a referral to be seen?

No. Oklahoma is a direct-access state, which means you can schedule with a Doctor of Physical Therapy without a physician referral. Most athletes are able to start care the same week they reach out, which matters when you're trying to get back to your season.

Do you accept insurance?

We're a cash-based, out-of-network clinic — we don't bill insurance directly. This lets us offer full-hour, one-on-one sessions without insurance-driven limits on time or frequency. We provide superbills so you can seek reimbursement through any out-of-network benefits your plan may offer.

What happens at my first visit?

Your first appointment is a full 60-minute evaluation. Your DPT reviews your history, runs a complete movement analysis, and delivers hands-on treatment for what's limiting you right now. You leave with a clear picture of what's going on and a plan built around your sport.

How is this different from PT I've done before?

Many clinics split your time between a therapist and an aide, with sessions under 30 minutes. At The Movement Lab, every session is a full hour, one-on-one with your DPT. We use objective testing like VALD force plates so return-to-sport decisions are based on data, not a guess.

Do you only work with competitive athletes?

No. While many of our patients are competitive athletes and weekend warriors, we work with active adults of every level who want real answers about a sports injury and a plan to get back to the activities they love, not just temporary relief.
