Meet the Team at The Movement Lab in Edmond, OK
We Built the Clinic We Wished Existed
The Movement Lab was founded because good physical therapy for athletes was hard to find. We built the clinic we wished existed — root cause care, one-on-one attention, and a performance-first approach that doesn't stop at pain relief.

One-on-One Care Built Around the Root Cause
How you move matters — and so does understanding why. Every Movement Lab session is one full hour with your DPT, focused on uncovering the root cause of your pain and building you back stronger than before.
What We Believe About Movement and Care
Our care philosophy isn't borrowed from a textbook. It's built on what we believe about movement, about athletes, and about what physical therapy should actually deliver.
Movement Matters to Everyone
Whether you're running marathons or chasing your kids, your ability to move freely is worth fighting for.
Root Cause Over Symptom Chasing
We find what's causing the pain, not just what's making it loud. That distinction is how lasting results happen.
One-on-One, Every Single Session
No aides. No hand-offs. No 15-minute check-ins. Just you and your DPT for a full hour, every time.
Honest, Transparent Care
We tell you what we find, what we plan to do, and why. No mystery, no guessing — just honest communication about your care.
Meet the Providers Behind The Movement Lab
Athletes. Clinicians. Coach-minded DPTs who have been where you are and know what it takes to come back stronger.

Dr. Aaron Mora earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Langston University and has been practicing since 2012, working across outpatient and home health settings with patients of all ages and backgrounds. He founded The Movement Lab in 2023 after identifying a widespread gap in how traditional PT addressed motor control and movement quality — and set out to build something different.
Aaron grew up in Guymon, Oklahoma, as a multi-sport athlete whose own knee injury first drew him to physical therapy. Outside the clinic, he stays active through working out, playing sports, climbing mountains, fishing, and coaching his kids' teams — and brings that same athlete's mindset to every patient he works with.

Dr. Cody Mayes earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from South College in 2023, building on a background in personal training that began in 2015. Growing up in Claremore, Oklahoma, Cody was a competitive runner and collegiate soccer player — and today he continues testing his limits through ultramarathons and Ironman triathlons.
Cody's firsthand experience with endurance training, injury, and recovery shapes how he approaches every patient. He brings a deep understanding of what it actually takes to train hard, stay healthy, and get back to the sport you love — not just get through it.

Dr. Sydney Ashton earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2024. Growing up in Duncan, Oklahoma, she trained as a competitive dancer for 15 years, developing a deep appreciation for movement quality, discipline, and performance that she carries into every session.
A knee injury during her dance career introduced Sydney to physical therapy — and lit a passion for strength training that has shaped her clinical approach ever since. She's especially passionate about helping active individuals and athletes return to the activities they love, moving better and more confidently than before.
